A great, wacky StikfaJun 05, 2009
To begin with, you are either a Stikfas person or you're not. You're a Stikfas person if you loved playing with the cheap plastic military men, or Transformers, or stick figures made out of pipecleaners. You're *not* a Stikfas person if you have to use a dictionary to look up the words "irony" or "sarcasm".
Note that Stikfas are for adults and older kids. The parts are too small for infants and toddlers who might put the parts in their mouth.
OK, so if you're a Stikfas person you have to get Delta Boy. He comes with skis, snowboard, skateboard/scooter, and even rollerblades! Since he's one of the newer figures, he also has a transparent stand that lets you pose him "in action".
Like all Stikfas, he comes with model options (not all can be used at once) and two sheets of funny stickers for further goofy customization.
If Delta Boy is your first Stikfa, here are some hints: You have to cut Stikfa pieces from the struts or "flashing" that's left over from the molding process. I recommend a *sharp* knife and snub-nosed wire cutters; you'll need both.
After you cut, you'll see some unsightly bumps left over. You can file these down with an emery board, or use a Dremel tool with an emery attachment. If you use the latter, use slow speed (1000 RPM or less) and take your time.
Stikfas assemble with ball joints. Be careful when you put the ball into the joint! If you push too hard or twist, you may break off the ball at the neck.
Stikfas are great decorations for the modern geek cubicle, so if you're a Stikfas person, enjoy!
