No longer the value it wasAug 25, 2010 We have been buying this calendar for the last five years or so. But no more. LEGO has offered the same "City" theme in the States forever. Europe has had "Castle" and other themes offered, too. Also, the price has skyrocketed!! This same calendar was available for $10 five years ago and crept up to $30 last year. $55 is outrageous for what you get. Until LEGO changes the theme and the price comes down, I guess we will have to find another way to celebrate advent.
LEGO City Advent Calendar (7687)Jul 30, 2010 The Lego Advent Calendar was just as good this year as it is every year; it is a must have for me, I mean, my child. We always have fun opening each day to find out what set we get to put together next, then adding it to the previous days and making up a story as we go along. I would recommend purchasing this item for kids over the age of seven.
So much funFeb 06, 2010 I bought this for my nephews ages 7 and 9 and they LOVED IT! The were so excited that every day they had something cool to discover. I will absolutely buy this product again every year until they grow out of it. But who REALLY grows out of Legos? You can never go wrong with Legos!
Lego FunFeb 06, 2010 I purchased this for my son and he went crazy over it when I gave it to him on Dec 1st. He had a blast each morning opening that little door and discovering what mini lego kit there was to build. He had no trouble following directions...however he is a big fan of Lego and is always building building building. Each day he would set up the new creation on the fold-out cardboard base, and each day he was delighted to see how his mini city was building up. Even now...February...he still has it all laid out. Initially I thought it was on the expensive side, but it works out to about $1 per day...and that is worth it to see the excitement in him each morning. A great Lego product that Lego should NEVER stop making.
My 5 year old loved itFeb 06, 2010 This is a very cute set of legos. My son loves the "people" that come with legos so it was perfect for him. There aren't any buildings with this set but for the lover of the "people" and things that go with them for Christmas it is a perfect gift.
