Mediocre, but still an excellent figure in its own right.Jul 26, 2010 While reading reviews on the early Rise of Cobra figures (when they were first coming out), I was somewhat disappointed to hear that the females' face sculpts weren't all that great. From what I've seen first-hand, many of the lady figures faces don't seem very feminine in the early ROC line.
I read in another review that Krieger looked "handsome" rather than "ugly", and I can't help but agree with that assessment. Sure, the figure looks nothing like the actress/model portraying the character the movie (as evidenced by the package art), but it's not as hideous as some might claim.
Ignoring the inaccurate face sculpt, it's still a robust, poseable, and well-sculpted figure. Any paint application slop on my figure was negligible, if not non-existent (whether this was down to manufacturer quality control or not, I still extend my sincere thanks to Trendy Treasure Trove).
Some people might be put off by the fact that her skin is molded in that color (rather than painted), but I think I prefer it to painted hands; paint tends to be scraped off the fingers when equipping or taking away the figure's weapons and/or hand-held accessories.
Overall, I'm pretty pleased with Krieger--the included TAR-21 rifle may have helped a great deal, but that does little to undermine the excellent figures Hasbro has been putting out in the G.I. Joe lines.
