Disney/Pixar Race-Off LaunchersJan 03, 2010
This toy was a big hit with my grandsons, ages 2 1/2 and 4, but especially with the older one. It is easier for him to manipulate, and he better understands how it works. They are both big fans of the "Cars" movie and love racing, so they both got one of these, but different cars. The launcher is plastic, but seems to be fairly sturdy, with the only exception being the specially-made rubber band underneath that broke on one after only a few car launches. However, the good thing is that we replaced it with 2 household rubber bands and it works fine. A positive feature is that any car that fits into the launcher can be used with it, which my grandsons like since they have lots of cars they can interchange and race. Having had it for only a week, time will be the true test for lasting interest and sturdiness.
